Newark Mayor Cory Booker spoke at WUSTL’s 152nd Commencement on May 17. Dr. Peter Rosen, a 1960 graduate of the School of the Medicine and an international leader in the field of emergency medicine, was one of six honorary degree recipients. More Commencement coverage »
Medical Education
As part of a long-standing tradition, the MD Commencement Recognition Ceremony was introduced by the John Ford Highland Bagpipe Band. Sandeep Jauhar, MD, PhD, cardiologist and director of the Heart Failure Program at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, addressed this year’s graduates.
Program in Occupational Therapy
More than 60 master’s graduates and nearly 30 doctoral candidates were recognized at the Program in Occupational Therapy Diploma Ceremony. Speakers included David Newburger of Newburger & Vossmeyer in St. Louis and Kerri Morgan, instructor of occupational therapy and neurology. More OT photos »
Program in Audiology & Communication Sciences
Graduates of the Master of Science in Deaf Education and Doctorate of Audiology programs were recognized at the Recognition Ceremony & Diploma Distribution in the Farrell Learning and Teaching Center. Richard A. Chole, MD, PhD, Lindburg Professor and head of the Department of Otolaryngology addressed the graduates.
Program in Physical Therapy
The Program in Physical Therapy recognized nearly 100 graduates of the doctoral program, and three graduates received a Masters of Science in Clinical Investigation at the Diploma Distribution & Hooding Ceremony. Speakers included Dan Braughton, Shirley Sahrmann, PT, PhD, and Edell Field-Fote, PT, PhD.
Division of Biology & Biomedical Sciences
Forty-two doctoral candidates in the Division of Biology & Biomedical Sciences were recognized at the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences Hooding and Recognition Ceremony. Programs of study included Immunology, Neurosciences, Molecular Genetics and Computational & Systems Biology.
