To respect the health and safety of our graduates and guests, Washington University Commencement ceremonies are being planned in coordination with the university’s infectious diseases and medical experts in compliance with St. Louis County guidelines. The School of Medicine will hold an in-person schoolwide ceremony for all programs outdoors. In addition, several programs are holding individual virtual ceremonies for their graduates.

School of Medicine Commencement Ceremony

Friday, May 21, 2021 | 7 – 8:30 p.m. CT

Watch live Friday at 7 pm

Washington University will recognize graduates of all School of Medicine programs at an in-person ceremony at Francis Field on the Danforth Campus. The ceremony will be held outdoors with seating arranged to accommodate physical distancing. Everyone in attendance will be required to wear a face mask and register in advance. Please monitor the WashU Commencement website for updates.
