Current and planned closures

Kingshighway lane and sidewalk restrictions

One northbound lane of Kingshighway Ave. is closed north of Barnes-Jewish Plaza to accommodate construction of a new 16-story inpatient hospital tower. The sidewalk on the east side of Kingshighway is also closed.

Hope Plaza and BJC Institute of Health expansion

Ellen S. Clark Hope Plaza is closed for construction on the Steven & Susan Lipstein BJC Institute of Health building. Until the plaza reopens in winter 2024, pedestrians will be routed to the plaza’s perimeter and will use a covered walkway to reach the front door of the building.

Taylor Ave. and Forest Park Ave.

Construction of the new Ambulatory Cancer Building at Forest Park Ave. and Taylor Ave. will occasionally restrict traffic lanes and sidewalk access. The new building opens in September 2024.
