Recognized by St. Louis Business Journal with Business of Pride Award
The St. Louis Business Journal has recognized Anthony T. Dao, MD, an instructor in the Division of Hospital Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, with a Business of Pride Award. The honor celebrates “LGBTQIA+ leaders and allies who are successful in their careers, active in their communities, and are advocates for inclusion and equality.”
Dao is the director of OUTmed, a LGBTQ+ advocacy group sponsored by the Department of Medicine. Additionally, he is the faculty adviser for the medical student group LGBTQ+, which has more than 20 active members. The Business Journal praised Dao for continuing “to champion LGBTQIA+ education, recruitment efforts, community engagement and mentorship.”
Dao will be profiled in the June 24 issue of the Business Journal and honored at a breakfast ceremony June 21.
