Froelke named EMS medical adviser for national organization
Nonprofit dedicated to reducing number of medical errors

Brian Froelke, MD, an assistant professor of emergency medicine at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, has been named the emergency medical services (EMS) medical adviser to The Center for Patient Safety (CPS).
CPS, which is based in Jefferson City, Mo., is a national nonprofit dedicated to reducing the numbers of medical errors. The organization works to foster a culture that encourages health-care workers to quickly report medical errors so they can be promptly addressed and prevented in the future.
Froelke is board-certified in emergency medicine and emergency medicine EMS. As EMS medical adviser, he will conduct activities and support programs that improve and promote patient-safety efforts among air and ground medical transport services. He also will advise the CPS team on current and long-term safety objectives.
