Photos encourage cancer screenings
Hosted by the Elimination of Cancer Disparities program at Siteman, the Photovoice project invited participants to share images that highlight the importance of cancer screening
Intended as a conversation starter for friends, relatives, co-workers and others about the importance of cancer screening, the Photovoice project featured an exhibition of 16 photos at the medical center in February 2013.
Participants in the program, hosted by Siteman Cancer Center’s Program for the Elimination of Cancer Disparities, photographed people, places and other symbolically rich aspects of their lives to encourage others to get screened for colon cancer.
