Simple assessment moves kids one step closer to the answers they need
More than half of children with cerebral palsy suffer from painful, involuntary muscle contractions, called dystonia, that have historically been difficult to diagnose. A new, objective assessment developed by WashU Medicine researchers allows doctors to quickly and accurately determine the severity of dystonia in their patients and tailor treatments to their needs, offering families concrete answers.
